Description

This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from the Fantini Farnese house is obtained only from Montepulciano grapes harvested in the Theatine municipalities of Ortona, San Salvo and Pollutri.

Immediately after the harvest, the grapes are subjected to a soft pressing and destemming, followed by fermentation with maceration on the skins for 15 days. Before being released, it spends an aging period of 3 months in wooden barrels.

It has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. Intense notes of red fruits stand out on the nose, with a clear predominance of red fruits, morello cherry and plum, accompanied by light notes of vanilla. In the mouth it is a full-bodied and balanced wine, with perfectly integrated tannins and a persistent finish.

It goes well with all traditional first and second courses of Italian cuisine.
