Description
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Divus comes from the oldest vineyards of the Loreto Aprutino estate. The coin with the face of Diocletian represented on the label intends to remember the value and the high price that was usually attributed to Montepulciano wine.
It is the result of a careful selection and manual harvesting of the bunches. After crushing-destemming, the must is sent to fermentation in steel which takes place under strict temperature control. It follows maturation in large barrels and barriques of different passage for 18 months and aging in bottle.
Ruby red in color, it gives the nose elegant sensations of blackberry jam and typical varietal raspberry accompanied by notes of licorice, black pepper and graphite. In the mouth it is austere, harmonious and round.
Divine in the company of a grilled lamb, it can accompany a roast chicken or a cut of beef with tomato and parmesan.
