Cherries in alcohol on the nose, with a nice spiciness of cinnamon on the finish of the olfaction. Juicy, dense mouth, with savory tannins, excellent persistence and return of balsamic notes.

Description

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Amaranta of Tenuta Ulisse is born in vineyards located in the Theatine municipality of Lanciano, in Abruzzo.

It is produced exclusively with Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected by hand between the end of October and the first ten days of November, following a brief over-ripening on the plant. After crushing and destemming, fermentation takes place, with maceration, in steel tanks at a temperature of 24-26 ° C for 15-20 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 9-12 months in fine French and American oak barrels before bottling.

This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has a particularly intense and elegant ruby red color. The nose opens with intense fruity aromas of plum and cherry jam, enriched by pleasant notes of tobacco. On the palate it is complex and structured, with a perfect balance between the tannic and alcoholic components.

Ideal to accompany first courses in red sauce, it is ideal in combination with roasts and medium-aged cheeses.
