Description
Sagrantino passito di Còlpetrone is born in vineyards located in Gualdo Cattaneo, in the province of Perugia.
It is obtained from pure Sagrantino grapes, carefully harvested and selected by hand, which are left to dry on racks in rooms at a controlled temperature. Fermentation with maceration takes place at a controlled temperature and after racking the wine refines on the fine lees for about 6 months.
The passito has a deep ruby red color. The nose is complex and very elegant, with notes of berries in alcohol and spicy notes. The taste is sweet and full, with delicate perceptible tannins and a long persistence.
It goes well with dry pastries and with cocoa and chocolate desserts.
