Description
The Sagrantino di Montefalco di Lungarotti was born in vineyards located in Turrita, in the center of one of the most beautiful areas of the Montefalco area.
It is produced exclusively with Sagrantino grapes, harvested around the middle of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for about 28 days, then the wine ages in barrique for about 12 months before being bottled.
It is characterized by an intense ruby red with purple hues. The wine has a large and highly complex bouquet, among which pleasant fruity and elegant notes of cocoa and sweet spices stand out. On the palate it reveals an important structure, with ripe tannins and a fragrant acidity.
Perfect to accompany red meats, roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
