Description

Montefalco Sagrantino di Tenute del Cerro was born in vineyards located in the Colpetrone estate, in the extraordinary reality of Montefalco, in the heart of Umbria. The Colpetrone estate is one of the most important wineries in Montefalco, perfectly expressing the authentic flavors of the Umbrian winemaking tradition.

It is produced exclusively with Sagrantino grapes. Aging takes place in barriques for 12 months. Subsequently, after making a brief passage in stainless steel tanks, the wine is refined for a further 26 months in the bottle.

It is characterized by a ruby red color. The nose opens with an intense bouquet, with rich aromas of red fruits, enriched with pleasant spicy notes and delicate vanilla nuances. On the palate it is pleasantly powerful and decisive, with a strong tannic concentration.

Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with first courses and aged cheeses.
