Description
Rosso Tenuta l'Impostino is a wine with a strong territorial connotation. It originates in the Tuscan Maremma, in the province of Grosseto.
The grapes, divided into 80% Sangiovese and 20% divided between Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, are harvested from vineyards located 350 meters above sea level in Querciolaia. The vines have been planted, since 2003, on fertile and clayey soil, with a good endowment of organic matter and fineness of the skeleton. The manual harvest precedes the selection activity carried out in the cellar. Pressed, the grapes ferment inside concrete tanks. This is followed by an aging of 12 months, partly in 42 hl barrels and partly in concrete tanks. 6 months in bottle complete the vinification.
It has a ruby red hue. The bouquet opens with notes of ripe cherry and blackberry jam, spices and a light touch of tobacco. In the mouth it is enveloping, rightly tannic and slightly spicy. Equipped with a fresh sip, it affirms a good structure and an excellent balance.
Perfect to accompany a rabbit hunter.
