Description
The Montecucco Rosso Riserva ColleMassari was born in the organic Colle Castello estate, located on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in the province of Grosseto.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese grapes and with Ciliegiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested entirely by hand in the second decade of September. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27-30 ° C, with maceration for 20-25 days. After the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in casks, barriques and tonneaux, half new, and for another 12 months in the bottle, before being placed on the market.
The Montecucco Rosso Riserva ColleMassari is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with fresh and vinous notes of cherry and berries, enriched with pleasant hints of sweet spices. On the palate it is soft and inviting, with enveloping tannins in perfect balance with the freshness of the acid component.
Perfect to accompany roasted and braised red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
