Description
The Montecarlo Rosso of Fattoria La Torre is produced from a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, coming from a small portion of the Stringaio vineyard, located in the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca.
The grapes are harvested by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October. The bunches are separated from the stalks and the must is obtained through a very delicate pressing. Fermentation takes place in steel for 10 days at a temperature of 28 ° C, followed by 15 days maceration on the skins. Once the malolactic fermentation is completed, the wine rests for 10 months in steel and ages for another 6 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in color, it offers the nose a range of aromas ranging from fresh red fruit to spices. In the mouth it is sapid and balanced, with a good structure, with a fruity and persistent finish.
Perfect in combination with land appetizers and red meats, it goes well with game-based menus.
