Description
Monica di Sardegna Antigua by Cantina Santadi was born in the vineyards of the lower Sulcis, in Sardinia.
It is produced 85% from Monica grapes and 15% from Carignano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine refines organoleptically before being bottled.
It is a wine with an intense ruby red colour, with slight golden reflections. The nose is elegant, complex and aromatic, with pleasant hints of blackberries and blueberries. On the palate, it is soft and pleasantly complex.
Ideal in combination with first courses based on meat sauce, it is perfect if combined with second courses of game, stewed meats and mature cheeses.
