Description
Barbera di Villa Sparina is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Gavi, in the province of Alessandria.
It is produced with pure Barbera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in the first half of October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 27°C for 2 weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages mainly in barriques and steel for at least 12 months, followed by a further period of refinement in the bottle.
This Barbera del Monferrato by Villa Sparina has a bright ruby red color, tending towards purple. On the nose it opens with a broad and deep bouquet of black cherry and mint, enriched by elegant notes of pepper and vanilla. On the palate it is full and rich, with a pleasant enveloping and softness that accompany towards a pleasantly long and fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany first courses and mature cheeses, this white wine is ideal when paired with red meat and game.
