Description
Scotch Whiskey Moch by Caol Ila is a limited production single malt whiskey from the Scottish island of Islay, an area from which peated whiskeys of admirable refinement derive.
Scotch Whiskey Moch by Caol Ila is pale straw yellow in the eyes. The nose is wrapped in a cloud of lemon, apple and custard, with hints of smoke in the finish. On the palate it is sweet and soft, moderately peaty, with a fairly persistent finish that insists on smoky notes.
Excellent to serve straight as a meditation whiskey.
Reserved initially for Diageo's "Friends of the Classic Malts", it was later made available to all whiskey fans. Primeval product of the Caol Ila range, for this reason it bears the name "Moch" which stands for "dawn", in Gaelic, it represents the first whiskey produced by the distillery in which the aging period is not indicated on the label.
