Description
Baron Longo's Friedberg comes from noble Lagrein vines grown on the Egna hills, in the south of South Tyrol.
The harvest takes place manually. The vinification is carried out in new French oak wooden barrels, barriques and tonneaux, and then refined for 20 months in the same containers and for a further period in the bottle.
Upon visual examination it shows a garnet red color. The scent on the nose reveals clear notes of ripe red fruits that lead to shades of dark chocolate and toasting, with a final hint of vanilla. The taste is full-bodied and dry, rightly tannic and harmonious, for a feeling of total satisfaction in all its details.
A wine that goes well with mature, braised cheeses and game.
