Description
Louis Jadot's Meursault, coming from the heart of the Côte de Beaune, is known for the predominance and quality of its white wines. The vineyards, spread over gentle slopes between 230 and 360 meters above sea level, benefit from an optimal south-east exposure which maximizes solar exposure. The calcareous soil with white marl is ideal for the cultivation of Chardonnay, the only variety used for this wine.
The grapes are harvested by hand and delicately pressed, then fermented in oak barriques, one third of which are new, and aged for approximately 15 months before bottling. This process gives the wine remarkable richness and complexity.
Straw yellow in colour, it reveals to the nose a fascinating bouquet of white pulp fruit, such as peach and apple, enriched with notes of hazelnut and butter, with an elegant mineral background. This olfactory complexity leads to a full and rounded palate, where the richness of the fruit is balanced by a lively freshness. The finish is long and creamy, with a return of toasted and mineral hints that confirm the refinement of this prestigious Chardonnay.
It is ideal with rich fish dishes, seafood and creamy cheeses, enhancing every meal with its structure and finesse.
