Description
This white wine from Domaine Jacques Prieur was born in the Clos of Mazeray, a Grand Clos de Monopole of 2.87 hectares, so the entire vineyard, located within the characteristic stone walls, belongs entirely to the same owner and was inherited by the monks of Cîteaux.
It is made entirely of Chardonnay grapes, which are pressed in whole bunches. The must rests for 36 hours at a controlled temperature, before being fermented in oak barrels, where the wine then remains to refine for 18 months.
Straw yellow with golden reflections. On the nose it offers hints of candied citrus fruits, dried apricot, white pepper and anise. On the palate it is fresh and crunchy, with great balance.
Pair with baked oysters and roasted fish with vegetables.
