Description
Passo Doble di Masi Tupungato was born in organically managed vineyards located in the Tupungato valley, at the foot of the volcano of the same name, in the Argentine province of Mendoza.
It is produced with Malbec and Corvina Veronese grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. It is made by applying the double fermentation technique: the must obtained from Malbec grapes ferments, with maceration, in steel containers at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ° C, for 15 days. A second fermentation follows, after adding whole Corvina grapes, slightly dried and crushed. Subsequently the wine ages for 10 months in French oak barrels.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with aromas of ripe cherry, enriched with sweet spicy notes. On the palate it is pleasantly rich and intense, giving a persistent finish with soft tannins.
Perfect to accompany grilled or roasted red meats, volatile game, tasty and aged cheeses.
