Description
This Torrontés belongs to the Uma collection of the Argentine Telteca winery. It is produced with grapes harvested for the most part in the Mendoza region, with a small percentage coming from the regions of Barrancas and Maipù. Even in the name - "uma" is the final part of "pacha-uma" which means "Mother Earth" - it reflects its close connection with the territory of origin.
After a 6-hour cold maceration and pneumatic pressing of the grapes, the must is fermented at controlled temperature with selected yeasts. The whole process is carried out in low temperature conditions to preserve its freshness and its characteristic aromatic scents. A conclusive stabilization and rapid bottling protect the product from exposure to air.
Straw yellow with silver reflections, bright and shining. The nose is wonderful, with its inviting aromas of tropical fruit, including mango, pineapple and passion fruit, it is well integrated with citrus scents and a delicate floral essence. It has a clear and vibrant mouth, with a freshness that invites you to the next sip.
Appreciated alone as an aperitif, it is an excellent companion for goat cheeses and seafood. Fabulous with Thai and spiced cuisine in general.
