Mendoza IG Syrah 2021 Escorihuela Gascón

Familia Escorihuela Gascón Syrah is a red wine produced with 100% Syrah grapes, grown in vineyards located in the First Zone of the Mendoza region. These vineyards, influenced by the winds that descend from the Andes, enjoy a large thermal range and predominantly clayey and sandy soils, relatively heavy and deep.

Winemaking involves manual or mechanical harvesting of the grapes, followed by maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 15 days at controlled temperatures between 24° and 26°C. The wine is then aged for four months in contact with French and American oak, to obtain a spicy and fruity character.

On the nose, Familia Escorihuela Gascón Syrah offers aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits such as blackberries, cherries and plums, with spicy, coffee and chocolate notes. On the palate, it is spicy and fruity, with high acidity and juicy tannins.

This Syrah pairs perfectly with red meats and mature cheeses.
