Description
The Malbec Nicolás di Catena Zapata comes from the grapes of the Adrianna and Nicasia Crus, both located in the Valle de Uco, respectively at 1450 and 1095 meters above sea level, in Argentina. This wine, with the 1997 vintage, was the first Argentine luxury cuveé to be exported to the world.
The wine is a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Some of the grapes are vinified as whole grapes. Malolactic fermentation and refinement take place in French oak barrels for 18 months.
In the glass it has a deep ruby color. The nose is complex and is expressed with aromas of purple flowers, black fruits, toasted and spicy notes. The sip is warm and elegant, with a persistent finish.
