Description
The Apple Doesn't Fall Far from the Tree by Matías Riccitelli is a wine produced from 100% Malbec grapes from two distinct areas: the Perdriel vineyard, located along the Mendoza River with rocky and clay soils, and the limestone soils of Gualtallary, at 1,400 meters above sea level. This combination of terroirs creates a wine that balances sweetness and freshness, reflecting the diversity of the soils.
The grapes are hand-picked, destemmed and transferred naturally by gravity into small cement tanks, where they ferment with indigenous yeasts at temperatures between 26°C and 28°C for several weeks. The aging continues in French oak barrels used until the next harvest, helping to develop the aromatic complexity of the wine.
On the nose it offers wonderful aromas of wild dark fruits, vanilla and chocolate. On the palate it is complex and rich, with soft and ripe tannins that lead to a long and persistent finish, making it a harmonious and pleasantly balanced wine.
It pairs well with meat dishes, ideal for those seeking an authentic expression of Argentine Malbec.
