Description
The Cabernet Sauvignon Catena by Catena Zapata comes from the grapes of 4 different vineyards, Agrelo, Villa Bastìas, Altamira and El Cepillo, located between 950 and 1120 meters above sea level, in Argentina.
The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes, which are fermented in temperature-controlled steel vats for 14 days with indigenous yeasts. Ageing is 12 months in wooden barrels.
In the glass it has a ruby colour with garnet hues. The nose is expressed with aromas of black fruits, leather, herbaceous notes and sweet spices. The sip is warm and intriguing, with pronounced tannins and a persistent finish.
To be paired with roasted and stewed red meats, as well as with aged cheeses.
