Description
Château Sénéjac is one of the most renowned Cru Bourgeois of Haut-Médoc, a region known for the production of quality red wines that reflect this unique terroir in the glass, whose history dates back to the 16th century. His vineyard extends over approximately 39 hectares, on clayey soil rich in chalk.
It is obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. The harvest takes place manually with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, then refines in partially new barriques for 12-15 months.
It has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it offers a rich and inviting aromatic bouquet, with notes of red fruits, sweet spices and light floral nuances. In the mouth, it stands out for its well-defined structure, soft tannins and balanced freshness. Flavors of berries, blackcurrants and a pleasant spiciness emerge, leading to a persistent and harmonious finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with lamb, partridge and mature cheeses.
