Description
La Favorite Rhum ESB AOC Exploration N°4 is a fine rum produced in Martinique, an island in the French West Indies. This limited edition, part of the series inaugurated by the fourth generation of the Dormoy family, is dedicated to explorations into the world of aging and assemblage. Aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels, this rum represents the perfect balance between alcohol content and aging, offering a rich and complex aromatic palette.
The La Favorite distillery, owned by the Dormoy family since 1842, is renowned for producing authentic artisanal agricultural rum. The distillery grows over 60 hectares of sugar cane, which meets approximately 60% of its needs, while the remainder is supplied by local farmers. The harvest takes place in the first six months of the year, when the cane sugar level is at its highest. The production uses a steam engine built in 1906 and two Creole columns for distillation, thus guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of the rum.
On the nose, La Favorite Rhum ESB AOC Exploration N°4 presents a fresh and toasted aromatic bouquet, with notes that recall French oak and spices. On the palate, the rum is balanced and enveloping, offering rich and complex flavors ranging from caramel to vanilla, with a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasantly warm and spicy sensation.
This rum is ideal to enjoy pure or with an ice cube, to fully appreciate its aromatic and flavor nuances, making it a perfect choice for fans of aged, high-quality rums.
