Description
Bishop's Leap is the Sauvignon from the New Zealand winery Saint Clair from the Marlborough area.
An area particularly suited for the cultivation of white grape varieties, this Sauvignon Blanc integrates grapes from the sub-areas of Rapaura, Wairau and Valle Brancott. Soils of alluvial origin with rocky outcrops guarantee excellent drainage capacity, while the presence of sea breezes and favorable temperatures contribute to the correct development of the aromatic density. Immediately transferred to the cellar after the harvest, the grapes are fermented in steel limiting the presence of oxygen to preserve all the aromatic fragrance.
Wine with a pale straw yellow color, dominates the nose with tropical fruits such as grapefruit, guava, melon, accompanied by pleasant tones of lime and pineapple. Fresh on the palate and consistent, it remains full-bodied with an abundance of ripe fruit and good persistence.
Ideal in combination with cheeses and cured meats, grilled peppers and shrimp risotto.
