Description
The Pinot Noir Black Label of the Babich winery is produced in New Zealand and is the result of a viticulture attentive to sustainability and environmental conservation.
After harvesting, the bunches are pressed in open vats and fermentation begins with frequent breaking of the cap. After fermentation and a period of maceration of the wine in contact with the skins, the wine is transferred to 25% new barriques to proceed with malolactic fermentation and maturation for another 10 months before bottling.
Ruby red wine with violet reflections and of medium intensity, it has a floral touch, toasted notes with hints of caramel and dried herbs. On the palate the density of blackberry appears accompanied by dark chocolate licorice and tertiary returns of mushrooms and wet leaves and nutmeg. It expresses a soft and delicate touch, with velvety tannins and a pleasant drink supported by harmony and elegance with a long and persistent finish.
Perfect to accompany timbales with mushrooms and grilled red meats, it is also excellent with roast lamb.
