Description
Pinot Noir Babich is produced in the Marlborough region of New Zealand with a selection of Pinot Noir grapes from different plots.
After harvesting, the grapes are pressed and fermented in open containers and with the use of a combination of indigenous and added yeasts. After a variable period of maceration in contact with the skins, the wine is transferred to oak. After 6 months, the wine is stabilized and made into the final blend.
Ruby red in color with slight nuances tending to garnet, this Pinot Noir opens on the nose with hints of black cherry and plum, finished with dried herbs, cedar and hints of mushrooms. It fills the palate and has the typical density of New Zealand Pinot Noir with notes of strawberry and currant, sweet spices and raspberry. Fresh and harmonious, it offers soft tannins and a medium persistence.
Perfect wine to accompany roast pork and game, it also manages to combine its excellent freshness with cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses.
