Description

The Margaux de Brane is created by Brane-Cantenac, already known for its good wine in the 1700s. Château Brane-Cantenac was bought in 1833 by the Baron de Brane, nicknamed the "Napoleon of the vineyards". Its name comes from the surname of the baron and the name of the place where the vineyards were located, Cantenac. Today the company is owned by the Lurton family, who, since 2009, with skilful modifications have been able to produce ever better wines.

The wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Carménère. Vinification takes place in concrete and steel vats. Subsequently the wine ages in the cellar for 12 months.

In the glass the wine is ruby red with violet hues. The nose reveals the aromas of red and black fruits, violets and slight smoky hints. The sip is silky, of medium structure, full-bodied and balanced.

Ideal in combination with first courses with red meat sauces, grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
