Description
Château Dauzac's second wine, made from 35-40 year old vines, grown on the characteristic gravelly soils characteristic of the Haut-Médoc.
It is made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes harvested when they are fully ripe. It is vinified by gravity and fermented in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 °C. Once the malolactic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged in barrels for 18 months.
It has a purple red colour. The nose is dominated by fruit, with graceful spicy touches. On the palate, it shows all its volume and a complex and balanced body that ends with a pleasantly fresh finish.
Recommended with both white and red meats, it is perfect with game and aged cheeses.
