Description
This red wine is produced by Château Labégorce in Margaux, Bordeaux, precisely in the Cru Bourgeois. The winery takes from one of its previous owners, who lived in 1400. It was recently bought by the Perrodo family, to which 65 hectares of vineyards belong.
The Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes are vinified by parcel in both concrete and steel vats, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. The aging takes place for 45% in new French oak barrels for approx. 15 months.
Intense ruby red color, the nose opens with a bouquet of violet, blueberries, spices, iodine and graphite notes. The sip is structured, with elegant tannins and a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with stewed and roasted red meats, as well as with aged cheeses.
