Description

The Margaux Grand Cru Classé is a wine from Château Dauzac, one of the Bordeaux château which in recent decades has seen a significant increase in the quality of wines to become one of the emblems of the region. The origins of the Château date back to the 16th century.

It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes are vinified in thermo-controlled steel vats. The wine then follows an aging in French oak barrels (50% new) for approx. 12 months.

Ruby red in color, it reveals aromas of small black fruits to the nose, including blackberry and currant, and the balsamic and fresh notes of lavender and spiced mint. The sip is medium structured, with crunchy and well integrated tannins and a long finish.

This wine is perfect in combination with roasted red meats and pork, for example roast pork with plums and chestnuts, as well as aged cheeses.
