Description
Located in the heart of the Margaux appellation, the prestigious Château Marquis de Terme takes its name from the Marquis François de Peguilhan. The Seneclauze family has owned the property since 1935. Located on a central plateau, its 40 hectares of typical Margaux gravel are planted with noble varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
The winemaking takes place plot by plot inside temperature-controlled cement, wood and stainless steel vats, filled by gravity. After a cold pre-fermentation maceration, alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, then the wine ages for 16 months in half new French oak barrels.
Dark ruby red in colour, it displays a complex and expressive bouquet on the nose, with notes of blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of black pepper. The entry is creamy, fresh and fruity, with well-integrated, enveloping tannins that give the wine a velvety and elegant character.
It pairs perfectly with red meats such as beef, veal and lamb.
