Description
Poliziano 's Mandrone di Lohsa is a wine composed of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to which small but important quantities of Petit Verdot and Carignano grapes are added, which give this label a distinctly Mediterranean character.
The bunches are collected manually in boxes and carefully selected. The fermentation of the must takes place in truncated conical steel vats for 20-25 days, with maceration on its skins. The wine is left to age for 18 months in new French oak barriques and tonneaux.
Upon visual examination, it shows a ruby red color. The nose traces an olfactory progression that passes through notes of blackberry and blueberry, and then turns on perceptions of vanilla. The taste is medium-bodied, with round tannins, soft, powerful, elegant and structured.
It is perfect with cold cuts appetizers and red meat main courses.
