Description
La Mozza is the Bastianich-owned winery in Maremma, from which this wine made from Sangiovese grapes comes.
The must ferments for a long time in stainless steel and is then gently pressed. The wine thus obtained matures for 12 months partly in large wood (40 hl Slavonian oak barrels), partly in stainless steel vats, to conclude with 4 months in bottle.
In the glass it has a ruby red color of gentle intensity. On the nose, notes of red fruits, blackberries and blueberries vibrate, while the palate reveals a riot of softness and elegance, with a personality that evokes the typicality of the Tuscan territory in the taste.
Exceptional in combination with wild boar cured meats, it is indicated as an accompaniment to grilled red meats.
