Description
The Chardonnay of Tenuta Aquilaia was born in Maremma, in the land that was once inhabited by the Etruscans.
The Chardonnay grapes are pressed and the must obtained is cold macerated for 12-15 hours at 10-12°C. This is followed by soft pressing and fermentation in steel tanks kept at a temperature of 18-22°C. The wine is finally aged in French oak barrels for 6 months.
It is characterized by a straw yellow colour. The nose reveals aromas of acacia and orange blossom, tropical fruit, fish and vanilla. The sip is sapid and elegant, with a good persistence.
Excellent with tasty seafood, such as spaghetti with seafood and stewed fish, but also with fresh cheeses.
