- Champagne AOC Grand Cru Brut Réserve Mailly, 0.75 ℓ
Description
The wooden box contains 2 great wines, one from the Piedmont region in Italy produced by the Marchesi di Barolo company and one from the Champagne region in France produced by Maison Mailly.
Barolo is produced from a selection of the best vineyards of the estate, in the municipal territory of Barolo. At the end of the classic vinification with maceration on the skins, the wine matures first in French oak barriques and then for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. Garnet red in color, it exudes a bouquet with delicate spicy scents, aromas of dried rose petals, red fruits, notes of undergrowth. The sip is harmonious and elegant, with very fine tannins and notable persistence. To be paired with beef stew, braised meats or game.
Champagne Grand Cru Brut Réserve is produced by Maison Mailly, which represents one of the oldest cooperatives in the Champagne region. The wine is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. After manual harvesting, the grapes are pressed in whole bunches. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks and barrels, with subsequent refinement on the fine lees in the characteristic chalk caves. The wine is golden yellow in color and has a fine and persistent perlage. The nose has fruity and toasted bread hints. The sip is creamy and harmonious. This Champagne is excellent with fish dishes and creamy cheeses.
