Description
Joseph Drouhin's Mâcon-Villages is a white wine produced in the southern Burgundy region, near Pouilly-Fuissé. Made exclusively with Chardonnay grapes grown on clay-limestone soils of Jurassic origin. The variety of the vineyard allows for the production of wines with different nuances, while always maintaining a high quality thanks to the care in selecting the grapes.
The winemaking involves the purchase of grapes and musts from partner producers, respecting strict quality protocols. After pneumatic pressing, the musts are immediately transferred to tanks where alcoholic fermentation and refinement take place for a period of between 6 and 10 months.
It has a clear and bright color. Floral and fruity notes emerge on the nose, with hints of citrus and ripe fruit, accompanied by light nuances of pastry. In the mouth the attack is fresh and lively, with a good lightness and a pleasant freshness. The finish is harmonious and inviting, with a pleasant roundness and a delicious closure.
This white wine pairs perfectly with grilled fish, salads, fresh cheeses and light vegetable-based dishes.
