Description
The Malbec of the Alta Vista Premium Estate line comes from vineyards located in the regions of Luján de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, located within Mendoza, the most important wine-growing area in Argentina.
The grapes, only of the Malbec variety, are subjected to a double sorting step in order to select the best grapes, then transferred to cement tanks using only the force of gravity. Fermentation begins with a long-lasting pre-fermentative cold maceration, then ends with a malolactic fermentation followed by a further 15-day maceration period. Half of the wine ages in lightly toasted French oak barrels for 12 months. Following assembly and bottling, it is refined for another 4 months in glass.
At the glass it has an intense and deep ruby red color. The sense of smell lingers on elegant aromas of red fruits, plum and spices, enriched with notes of licorice and balsamic herbs. On the palate it is silky and round, concentrated.
Excellent to accompany first courses, it is ideal in combination with second courses based on red meats.
