Description
The Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato of the Zenato company was born in vineyards located between the municipalities of Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano, in the suggestive area between the morainic amphitheater and the south of Lake Garda.
The grapes come exclusively from Podere Massoni, the oldest and most historic vineyard of the company. The wine is produced exclusively with Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, rigorously harvested by hand in mid-October. The fermentation takes place partly in 50 hl oak barrels, partly in 300 l tonneaux and partly in steel (the percentage varies according to the vintage) for about 15 days, followed by an aging period of about 8 months. Finally, the wine ages for a few months in steel and 16 months in the bottle before being marketed.
Sergio Zenato is characterized by a bright straw yellow. The nose is delicate and pleasant, with pleasant floral, citrus and exotic fruit notes. On the palate it is pleasantly mineral and balanced.
Perfect to accompany tagliatelle with white rabbit sauce with herbs or lake fish.
