Description
Lugana Riserva Sùere di Ca' Maiol is a wine obtained exclusively from Turbiana grapes, coming from vineyards located in the Desenzano del Garda area, characterized by clayey soils of glacial origin rich in mineral salts.
The grapes are harvested manually, cooled to 10°C and subjected to soft pressing, followed by cold decantation. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 15-18°C in steel and barrique, without malolactic fermentation. The wine ages for at least 18 months on noble lees in steel and barrique, with a further minimum aging period of 12 months in the bottle.
It has an intense straw color with golden reflections. The nose reveals great complexity and breadth of aromas, with notes of cedar, yellow melon and slightly spicy touches of cumin; the evolution in the glass offers hints of pearl barley, yellow peach and lavender. On the palate it is persuasive and enveloping, with a freshness and a flavor that make the sip dynamic and juicy, accompanied by aromas of yellow-fleshed fruit, sweet spices and saffron.
This white wine pairs perfectly with fish-based dishes, such as tuna tartare or grilled sea bass fillets.
