Description

The Lugana 90+10 Il Rivale di Pratello comes from vineyards of around 30 years of age, located on clayey soil with fractions of light clay-coloured clay. This soil composition is particularly favorable for the dominant grape variety of the blend, Turbiana, flanked by a balance of Chardonnay grapes.

The harvest is slightly late and is carried out manually. The fermentation of the free-run must only takes place after a soft pressing of the whole bunch, for a period of 18-20 days. The refinement of the wine takes place in steel on the fine lees for 6 months, followed by a further period of 4 months in the bottle.

The color is an elegant straw yellow with amber and greenish nuances. On the nose it stands out for the aromas of white rose, pear, Melba peach and spicy notes, especially juniper. In the mouth it is velvety, soft and elegant, with a pleasant return of the fruity notes perceived on the nose.

It prefers fish-based dishes, even grilled ones, but pairs beautifully with delicately seasoned white meats.
