Description
The Lugana Brut Metodo Classico of Cà Maiol is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Desenzano del Garda, in the province of Brescia.
It is produced with pure Trebbiano di Lugana grapes, harvested slightly in advance in order to enhance the release of aromas in the fermentation phase. After the classic white winemaking processes, the second fermentation takes place in bottle, according to the Metodo Classico, with ageing for 36 months on its lees.
It is characterized by a light straw yellow colour and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with a clean and sweet bouquet, with hints of Williams pear, marjoram and yeast, with slight balsamic nuances. On the palate it is fresh and soft, with delicate fruity hints.
Excellent throughout the meal, it is ideal in combination with smoked raw fish, such as salmon, and together with fresh cheeses with a strong flavour.
