Description

Peter in Florence is the gin tribute to the city of Florence, considered the ideal place for the production of fundamental botanicals for a gin, such as iris and juniper. He literally follows the rules of the English distilleries for the creation of London Dry Gin but in addition he adds many other botanicals, mostly of local origin and grown organically.

An absolute particularity is the attention paid to iris, the plant symbol of the city of Florence, of which the root but also the petals are used, a choice that enhances the presence of this botany in the final distillate. As if that were not enough, the Podere Castellare di Pelago distillery is equipped with a special alembic, built in the image and likeness of the Carterhead, used to produce some of the best gins internationally. An alembic that uses steam infusion, allowing a gentle and natural extraction of essential oils and aromas.

When smooth it clearly manifests all the sensory properties of the iris.
