Description
London Dry Gin named after the famous London gentleman's club which included former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and writer Ian Fleming among its members. Produced for the first time in 1845, it became increasingly rare and difficult to find, until it was relaunched in 2013. It is produced from a neutral spirit, made from local wheat, which undergoes a second distillation in the still copper Carter Head in which the vegetable ingredients provided in the Boodles recipe gradually infuse with gin, for a result with a sure gustatory impact. It is distilled with the botanicals typical of gin, coriander, angelica root, cassia bark, except for the citrus fruits which were to be used to garnish the glass during the service.
Transparent and crystalline in appearance, it brings hints of juniper and coriander to the nose, supported by aromas of cassia, cinnamon, cumin, rosemary and sage. In the mouth it proves soft and satisfying, pleasantly warm in the finish.
Ideal to serve fresh with a slice of lime, enriched with tonic water or to be used as an ingredient for the preparation of delicious cocktails
