Description
Pichler-Krutzler's Loiben Riesling originates in the wine region of Wachau, Austria. The winery, founded in 2007, is managed by Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler, who manage 13 hectares of vineyards located near the banks of the Donau.
It is produced exclusively with Rhenish Riesling grapes, harvested by hand in September. The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats and ages for 4–5 months on the lees.
The wine is straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. On the nose there are hints of flowers, white and yellow fruit. The sip is light, with a pleasant acidity and persistence.
Perfect with raw fish tartare, shellfish and seafood, but also with white meats.
