Description
Produced in the municipalities of Luni and Castelnuovo Magra, Mea Rosa represents the only rosé from the renowned Ligurian winery Lunae. It is crafted from a skillful blend of Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Vermentino Nero, the latter being a prestigious native grape variety. The combination of these three varietals, cultivated in an area with a long winemaking tradition, gives life to a rosé that combines elegance, freshness, and delicacy, best expressing the peculiarities of the Levante region of Liguria.
The vinification process involves cold maceration on the skins for 24 hours, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The brief contact with the skins results in a bright cherry pink color, maintaining a balance between structure and finesse, with vinification aimed at preserving the varietal qualities and aromatic fragrance.
On the nose, intense aromas of red fruits such as cherry and wild strawberry are distinguished, enriched with subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is enveloping and harmonious, with a pleasant minerality and freshness that support a persistent finish rich in fruity returns.
Perfect with grilled fish dishes, white meats, or freshly served seafood carpaccios.
