Description

Lazio Merlot Montiano di Falesco is born in vineyards located on the hills of the municipalities of Montefiascone and Castiglione in Teverina, in the province of Viterbo.

It is produced with pure Merlot grapes, harvested during the first week of September, then macerated on the skins for 15 days with numerous punching down. After the alcoholic fermentation in steel and the malolactic fermentation carried out entirely in barriques, the wine ages for 12 months in new Allier and Troncais French oak barriques before being bottled.

Montiano is a wine with a deep ruby red color. The bouquet is very broad, with delicious vanilla notes, hints of small red fruits, notes of jam and nuances of sweet spices. In the mouth it is round and soft, very elegant in taste, with great and pleasant persistence.

Due to its characteristics, it is perfect to accompany meat dishes of the great Italian cuisine, such as roasts, game and braised meats.
