Description
Albìola is a rosé produced in the land of Agro Pontino, in Lazio, by the Casale del Giglio company. It takes its name from that of an ancient settlement in the area, reported in historical documents by Pliny the Elder.
It is mainly obtained from Syrah grapes, with a small part of Sangiovese. During the maceration phase of the grapes in contact with and skins, the practice of Salasso is performed, that is, the removal of part of the must. Vinification continues in steel.
The pink color is of a rather intense hue. The nose recalls notes of rose petals, currants and raspberries. In the mouth it has the typical freshness of rosés and the structure similar to that of red. It is a balanced and fruity wine that persists in delicate floral tones.
Perfect to sip as an aperitif to accompany cold cuts.
