Description
Langhe Nebbiolo Sabaudo originates from pure Nebbiolo grapes, grown in the vineyards of the municipality of Monforte d'Alba. The clay and limestone soils give the wine a deeply expressive character. The label could not be more eloquent and represents Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour, the great statesman from Turin, among the leading figures of the Italian Risorgimento.
Immediately after the harvest, the grapes are pressed and left to ferment in steel, then rest for 14 months in large Slavonian and French oak barrels.
The wine offers a bright ruby red color to the eye, while it gives the nose pleasant hints of ripe red fruit, among which majestic currants and plums stand out. On the palate it is decisive, full-bodied, a wine with great personality: excellent persistence and a long finish.
It is the ideal wine to accompany nobly all meat-based dishes. Must try with chestnuts.
