Description
A stoic company from Verduno, GB Burlotto has been producing great wines since the mid-nineteenth century. The estate extends over 16 hectares, with vineyards distributed in the 14 cru of the municipalities of Verduno, Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Roddi.
In addition to producing a range of Barolo labels dedicated to various Additional Geographical Mentions, it produces an excellent Nebbiolo, which comes from a selection of grapes from the youngest vineyards of the estate. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and in open French oak vats, with maceration on the skins, pumping over and punching down. Before bottling, the wine ages for 8-10 months in large oak barrels.
It has a ruby red color, with a fragrant bouquet characterized by aromas of cherry, raspberry, black currant and delicate hints of spice. The sip is smooth, with subtle tannins, a crunchy fruit and a pleasantly fresh finish.
To be paired with pasta with meat sauce and roasted white meats.
