Description
Ruja di Gemma is born in the vineyards of Roddino, in the heart of the Langhe.
It is obtained from pure Nebbiolo grapes, harvested between 5 and 15 October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 6 days at a controlled temperature, with maceration in contact with the skins. Refine in steel and for the remainder in oak barrels for at least 9 months.
Ruby red wine with garnet hints. The nose offers intense hints of red fruits and rose hips, flanked by slight aromas of earth and truffle. On the palate it is elegant and silky, with medium structure and good balance.
It prefers red meats. It lends itself to combinations with roasts and aged cheeses.
